Controls and Commissioning Engineering Application is the integrated suite that includes all the elements of Commissioning Information Tool (ComIT) and additionally a powerful controls design and cost management tool.ComIT is a collaborative commissioning tool that uses the internet to connect all Cx team members.
CACEA was additionally designed to streamline the many tasks associated with designing and estimating control systems. All elements of the building systems are represented by a common configuration convention. This configuration is a multi-level tree like configuration, composed of "smart objects". This allows all related information to be accessed for any element simply by navigating the tree. This same information can also be accessed through graphic screens. CACEA/ComIT
provides the first practical way of consolidating and
maintaining a collaborative knowledge base among the many individuals remote from each other. It allows you to easily apply the new elements of a more mature knowledge base to older projects keeping your process as thorough collective experience allows. |

Imagine all parties to the construction process using a common tool to generate and record commissioning information including start up checklists, functional performance tests, action items (issue tracking), nameplate/performance data, balancing data and operation and maintenance data. Imagine that data being synchronized at near real time over the internet. Imagine then delivering to the facility operators all this information as well as links to more data and to the parties they will need to support them; all with a user friendly tool to access this data (even with graphic interfaces). Though it sounds like an admirable goal for the future, ComIT makes this a reality TODAY.
