Project Description:

Facility Dynamics Engineering completed design phase Cx services and is in the construction phase commissioning services for the 100,000 sf north wing addition at the Corning Museum of Glass. The project includes a new 26,000-sf, $5 million contemporary art gallery building, as well as one of the world’s largest facilities for glassblowing demonstrations and live glass design sessions.

FDE provided design phase services including peer review and production of Cx specifications. We also provided Cx of the enabling projects which were necessary to keep the museum operational during the new construction work. The construction phase services include submittal review, start-up attendance, functional testing, training and O&M reviews, and off season testing. The Cx encompassed the mechanical, electrical, lighting controls, domestic hot water, and lab gas systems.  These services will comply with the LEED Cx prerequisite and additional basis point.
