Inherent in our core expertise is the ability to diagnose and solve building system problems. With our background in design, construction, building set up and commissioning, and operation and maintenance, we are well equipped for and experienced at troubleshooting. Essential to effective troubleshooting is having and knowing how to use diagnostic equipment of which we have an extensive inventory. It is also important to be resourceful in capturing operating parameters and simulating various system conditions. With our extensive expertise in building system controls and information technology, we can efficiently capture the true system operating parameters across various operating conditions, and not simply rely on another calculation SWAG that may be the source of the problem in the first place.
Of course the second half of Remedial Engineering is determining the optimal solution. We approach system improvements from the operator's perspective, focusing on practicality, cost effectiveness, reliability, operability and maintainability as well as timely implementation with minimum disruption. On existing facilities, Facility Dynamics concentrates on optimizing and utilizing the existing systems as opposed to the "rip it out and start over" CYA assessments we see so frequently.
