| Retro-commissioning refers to the commissioning of an existing facility. Our original market niche was troubleshooting and optimizing existing buildings. This is where much of our hands on experience, and experience with real dynamically operating equipment came from. This experience was the seed of the automation that we developed to perform constant commissioning. The several man-years of development alone speak volumes about how hard we have been working to meet one of the facility manager/operators biggest challenges. Consequently Facility Dynamics is highly adept at dealing with and optimizing existing facilities. Some of our core personnel came from the performance contracting industry where the focus was dealing with and optimizing existing buildings. Other core personnel were facilities engineers. Generally, during retro-commissioning there are no designers or contractors around, so the retro-commissioner must be experienced in all aspects. As a result Facility Dynamics is the firm of choice for retro-commissioning. |
