Project Description:

The consulting services of Facility Dynamics Engineering were retained by Gensler Architects to provide design review and construction phase commissioning for Patriots Plaza II & III in southwest Washington, DC.  Patriots Plaza II & III include two separate towers, each 12 stories high, for a total of 740,000 sf. The towers at Patriots Plaza provide tenants with access to class A office space and remarkable proximity to the U.S. Capitol and Washington Metro Rail Transit System. Cx activities were limited to central systems delivered in the core and shell scope of work.  

Systems Commissioned include:

  • HVAC Systems (Typical for each tower)
    • Chiller Plant
    • Hydronic Pumping Systems
    • Variable Volume Air Handling Units
    • VAV Boxes with Electric Reheat
  • Building Automation System
